Induction evaluation.

Photography

For my photography I used auto focus for taking the perfect picture for my photo, as mine is a different type of magazine cover to all the other ones so I had to get the right photo for the right occasion.
The T- stance is a great way to get a good photo as you balance yourself out and let the camera lock on to the desired object that you wish to take a photo of and helps the camera zoom in better.
Portrait and landscape mode are different ways of displaying the picture after its been taken, and it’s better to use a photo after its been taken in portrait mode.
Perfect example of zooming in using
                                                                        the T- stance

My images were in focus as my partner held the pose for several seconds allowing me to a well-focused photo and get the best quality I can get from the camera I used.
The lighting really did affect a few good photos that I and my partner took as we didn’t think that it would affect the photo as much.

The ideal photo that I took is him looking to the right as I thought it would make a good photo.
The rules of thirds didn’t come to mind when I took the photo as I had my mind set on the lighting and the focus but never the less the CU of bens face and shoulders is a well done photo despite the eye line being too high or too low.
I did think about the type of background while taking the photo as I wanted a background with a lot going on but not too much to distract the audience, as I told him to be up against a tree with part of the shot being able to look behind him.
I think that the people skills that I have were enough for the photo that I obtained and confusing did not occur when telling him what I wanted as I kept it short and simple.

Photoshop

The tools that I used where efficient enough for me to display what I needed out of the photo that I took, the way that Photoshop is displayed was a little confusing and since I was new with the apple macs it took me a little while on how to use the tools it gave me for example the right click isn’t the same as every other computer and have to hold CTRL to right click.
I found a number of things with Photoshop difficult to use as I only used it a few times in secondary school so I was at a disadvantage to everyone else.
The text is what I hoped for and accurate enough as the image I had inside my head as a relaxed rock star that isn’t too heavy to give the other audiences chance to read.
I didn’t cut out any part of the image at all as I made it work with what I had so no extra work had to be done cropping things out and pasting other things in and as I set up the photo ready for this then I didn’t really have to  get rid of anything.
I used a number of colors to improve the photo; for starters I put the whole picture in black and white as a rock magazine doesn’t suit to well with a colorful and bright background.

To improve my front cover I would simply know more stuff about Photoshop first before going in as when I looked round the class room and saw loads of really good front covers who people obviously had some experience with it.
for my final product i used the text font 'chalkduster' as this went really well for the look that i was trying to create, this text gives the photo a good and stylish rock look to show not as much serious as the background may be, with this font i put the colour as very bright ones like white and yellow as these would stand out better on a dark background and not to much strain on the readers eyes. i mainly chose this text as it moulds well round the character in the middle as it isn't to blocky that people cant see his face or obstructing the main advertisement of the product.
