initial Indesign work.

This is a magazine that i started at the beginning of the academic year as i was getting a hang of how to use Indesign properly, i was shown how to expand the box around the images so it looks like it popping out of the screen. I was shown and explained in great detail how to link the boxes so when i pasted the work in to Indesign it carried on on to the other boxes and it didn't cut off so you needed to re-paste it all again, at the same time of doing these i was shown how to use photoshop aswell so i was able to easily able to crop down the images and just get what i wanted just to insert onto my blog.

Screenplay from 1st year.

DEFENCE COMITY
What on earth are we going to do?

GENERAL JOHNSON
You need to listen to me and trust me on this one, the cannibals have been grown to never give up and never retreat without what they came here for even if they have five times as much power then we do, we must keep on fighting

DEFECNE COMITY
So how do we win?

GENERAL JOHNSON
We don’t, put all women and children into vaults underground and assemble all your men from under the naughts where they cannot be hit from there overpowered laser and kill the alien troops as they come out, we need to wait it out until reinforcements arrive and then send out air force out, it’s terrible but it may just work.

A big alien ship hits earth like something out of war of the worlds and starts shouting its red laser at random buildings and people with the size of this being about the same size of the empire state building everyone stands in shock

This is my screenplay from my first year in film studies, and an extract from the entire thing. The genre of my screenplay is a thriller action movie as it is about an alien invasion in the year 2478 and we follow the main character on his journey to track the aliens as they have stolen a vast number of people that he knows, the age range of my screenplay is 15 years old as there is no sex scenes in it but is full of dramatic blood scenes that could put people off if they're to young,  as i have a good understanding of film studies cinematography i was able to picture it happening through my eyes and put it down into words.

Good Photos vs Bad photos.

Bad Photos

this is a good selection of the few that i thought were really bad photos, the main reason i have chosen these as bad photos is because they are out of focus number 3 and 2 are out of focus on the main parts on which i really relied on for the the camera to pick up on. number 7,6 and 5 are really bad camera lighting so i really couldn't do much editing on these photos, with the models wearing mostly black clothes i needed some lighting to bring out the actual face expressions which these photos lacked. number 4 was my personal bad camera taking as i managed to get part of the model cut out as shown, the left model is cut off and only half of him but on the other side there is a bit of a gap behind the right model, so its my lousy photo taking.

Good Photos

i didn't really manage to get many good photos but i got enough for me to make my magazine front cover, the lighting for number 1 and 2 was really good so i used them on my front cover along side the camera technique i used to hold the camera, the models knew there positioning so i did a countdown to when i was taking the photos so they were ready for when the shot was taking instead of me just saying do this and taking the photo.

Composition photos.

These are my composition photos.

This is a photo of Ellen standing in between two lockers the purpose of this is it to try and represent a close or locked framing so its just her trapped in the lockers. i have done this to try and create a distressed look and show that she is vulnerable to the person behind the camera with no way out.

This is another composition show of Ellen but with Emma in the background, this is a key shot as it shows the light from the camera focussed on Ellen and the darkness on the right hand side of the shot, this is more of a LS and i did not focus on the rule of 3rds as it would make it more on Ellen's face when i wanted someone in the background aswell.

Here is another composition photo that i did but of a different way, instead of close framing i have done a CU tilted angle, i hoped this to be represented as a threat as most up tilts show the other person a dominant threat.

The other way round, Emma being looked down upon as it can show as the victim and that she can be in trouble, with the black background around her it can be seen a the unknown creating omniscience and suspense for the TA as she will not know whats behind her.
